Our Savior, Jesus Cain!
Here is a perfect example of the distorted thinking that evangelicals and conservatives have in common…Herman Cain calls Jesus Christ the “perfect conservative.” One of his reasons is that Jesus preferred personal charity over government handouts! I’m sorry, folks, but this man must be adding some “Mary Jane” to his pizza mix!
The Conservative Jesus
Of course, there has been backlash from the left and the right. Some Christians believe that he is wrong for invoking Christ’s name in order to make a political statement! Others believe that Cain makes the perfect presentation and support the idea that Jesus was a conservative.
Now, I’m curious: are we talking Reagan conservative, Goldwater conservative, or just a good old-fashioned Bircher conservative?
